Draw names for your gift exchange in seconds, with couples and last year's pairs kept apart.
Add everyone, set the rules, press Draw, then pass one phone around or print folded slips. Nothing is emailed and nothing leaves this device.

People (0)
Households
People in the same household never draw each other. Set it on the People tab.
Extra can't-draw pairs
For people who shouldn't draw each other even though they live apart, such as exes or two people who just drew each other at another party.
Not the same as last year
Enter who gave to whom last year and nobody draws the same person again. You can type the pairs, use an earlier draw saved on this device, or load last year's Export file. Pairs loaded that way stay hidden until you confirm.
Type a pair
Load last year's pairs
The draw you have now can't be used here, because it would clash with itself and show every match. After your next draw it becomes available.
Shape of the draw
Off by default. With it off, names are matched at random in a way that keeps your rules. With it on, nobody is in a little swap with just one other person. With very tight rules a circle can be hard to find: the tool stops after about two seconds and says so, rather than guessing.
Draw the names
Can this work?
How many people each person is allowed to draw, after households, extra pairs and last year's pairs. A person who can draw only one or two is where a draw gets stuck.
Past draws on this device
Every completed draw is kept so next year can avoid repeats. This list never shows who drew whom. The current draw can be used as last year's pairs after your next draw.
Print folded slips
One slip per person, four to a Letter page when the text is short. The outside says who it's for. The inside shows who they're buying for, their wish list, the limit, date and place.
Cut along the dashed lines. Fold in a zigzag so the name stays on the outside and the message is hidden inside. Slips with long wish lists or notes print in smaller text, or taller, so nothing is cut off.
Organiser view
This shows every match and spoils it for you if you're taking part. If you're not in the exchange, you can also print a sealed master list.
Your exchange
These print on every slip and show on the reveal screen.
Your data
Names, rules and results are saved on this device only. Nothing is sent anywhere.
An Export file contains the matches, so keep it to yourself and don't send it to the people taking part.
