Privacy policy

What we collect when you buy a tool or write to us, why, who handles it for us, how long we keep it, and your rights. The short version: the tools themselves never send us anything you type.

Effective date: October 24, 2026

Who we are

Micromedia Digital (micromediadigital, Huntsville) runs micromediadigital.com and sells downloadable tools. For anything in this policy, email support@micromediadigital.com.

The tools keep your data on your device

Every tool is a single file that runs in your browser and works offline. What you type into it (debts, budgets, prices, study dates, habits, meal plans, notes) is saved only in that browser's storage on your own device and is never sent to us or anyone else. The tools make no network requests and contain no analytics. We can't see it, so we can't lose, share or sell it.

The demos on our product pages work the same way: what you type stays in your browser and isn't saved. Our visit statistics (below) record only that a demo was used, never what you typed.

What we collect, and why

WhatWhenWhy (legal basis)
Your email address, name, billing country and postcode (where asked), the tool you bought, the amount, any promotion code you used, and the campaign tags of the link you arrived from (for example utm_source=tiktok)When you buy. You enter these on Stripe's checkout page; Stripe shares them with us.To deliver your purchase and send the download link (contract); to keep tax and accounting records (legal obligation); to see which channels lead to sales (legitimate interest).
If the checkout page offers a box to get emails about new tools (it's offered to US buyers only), whether you ticked itWhen you check out, including free orders made with a promotion codeTo send you occasional emails about new tools, only if you ticked the box (consent). Every such email has an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent any time by emailing us. We keep your email on that list until you unsubscribe.
Card or other payment detailsWhen you buyHandled by Stripe only. We never see or store your full card number.
Your name, email address and messageWhen you use the contact form or email usTo answer you (legitimate interest, or steps before a contract).
Anonymous visit statistics: page viewed, referring site, country, device and browser type, and events such as "clicked Buy" (with the tool's name), "tried the demo", "completed checkout" and "sent the contact form"When you browse the siteTo understand which pages help people (legitimate interest). Vercel Web Analytics uses no cookies and doesn't identify you across sites.
Page-speed measurements (load time, layout shift, responsiveness)When you browse the siteTo keep the site fast (legitimate interest). Collected by Vercel Speed Insights, without cookies.
Your IP address and browser signalsWhen you open a product page or the contact page (the check runs in the background), and when you press Buy or send the contact formCloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a bot, is using the page. When you press Buy or send the form, our server passes your IP address to Cloudflare with the check (legitimate interest in preventing spam and fraud).
Server request logs (IP address, page requested, time)Every requestSecurity and fixing errors (legitimate interest). Kept by our host, Vercel, for a short period. Our server also holds your IP address in memory for a few minutes to limit repeated tries at checkout, downloads and the contact form.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-site advertising.

Cookies and browser storage

  • This site sets no cookies of its own, and loads no advertising or tracking cookies.
  • Your cookie choice is remembered in your browser's local storage (an item called mmd-consent). If you arrive from a link with campaign tags, they are saved in session storage for that browser tab (an item called mmd-utm) until you close the tab, and sent with your order if you buy. Neither leaves your device in any other way.
  • A tool you download saves your entries and its light or dark setting in the local storage of the browser you open it in. That stays on your device; clearing your browser data deletes it. If you install a tool from your app link, it runs on app.micromediadigital.com and keeps your entries, plus a saved copy of the tool so it works offline, on your device only. Opening the app sends your order number to our server so we can check the purchase; nothing you type is sent.
  • Stripe's checkout page (checkout.stripe.com) and Cloudflare Turnstile may set their own strictly necessary cookies for payment security and bot protection, under their own policies.
  • If we ever add marketing pixels or similar tools, they will only load after you choose Accept in the cookie banner. You can change your choice any time with "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page.

Who processes your data for us

  • Stripe: payments, receipts and order records.
  • Resend: sends your download email and delivers contact-form messages to us.
  • Vercel: hosts the site; Web Analytics and Speed Insights.
  • Cloudflare: Turnstile bot protection.
  • ImprovMX: forwards email you send to our support address to the inbox where we read it.

These companies may process data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Order records (in Stripe): as long as tax and accounting law requires, currently 7 years.
  • Download links work for 30 days after purchase. App links have no time limit and stop working after a refund or dispute.
  • Contact messages: up to 2 years after the conversation ends, then deleted.
  • Analytics are kept in aggregated, anonymous form by Vercel.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email support@micromediadigital.com from the address you used to buy or write to us. We answer within 30 days. We may need to keep order records the law requires us to keep.

  • EU and UK (GDPR): you also have the rights to data portability and to restrict processing, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
  • California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information.

Children

The site and tools are not aimed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. See also our terms and refund policy.
