Does it fill in an interest rate for me?
No. The rate field starts empty and the payment uses only the rate you type. The sample uses 6.5% as an example, not a current rate or a quote.
Does it tell me whether I can afford a home or how much to put down?
No. It adds up the goal you set and projects your savings. You choose the down payment percentage; the quick buttons just type the number for you. It gives no affordability verdicts and no advice on loan types or mortgage insurance.
How does it work out the month I'll reach my goal?
It starts from your account balances plus any deposits in your log. Each month it adds interest at the APY you typed (if any), then your monthly amount and any planned one-time deposit, until the balance reaches the goal. Month 1 is next month. It's a projection from your numbers, not a promise.
Does it work offline, and how do I back it up or move it to my phone?
Yes. It's a single file that works offline and saves on your own device. Nothing is sent anywhere. Press Export to save a backup file, then open the tool on another device and press Import.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Each tool is a single file that opens in the browser on any iPhone, Android phone, tablet or computer. There's no app to install.
Where do my numbers go?
Nowhere. Everything you type stays on your own device. The tools work offline and never send your data anywhere.
Is there a subscription?
