Questions
Do I need to know my hardiness zone?
No. The tool uses your last spring frost date, which your local extension office or a frost-date reference for your town will give you. There is no location lookup and nothing is sent anywhere.
Are the built-in crop timings right for my garden?
They are typical starting points, labelled as such. Your seed packet, local extension office and the weather come first. You can edit any crop's timing, reset it to the default, or add your own crops.
What happens when I change the frost date?
Every sow, harden-off and transplant date moves with it, and so do repeat sowings. Tasks you have already ticked stay ticked.
How do repeat sowings work?
For crops with a repeat interval, such as lettuce every 14 days, you choose a set number of sowings or repeat until the last safe date, which is your first fall frost minus the crop's days to maturity. Whichever limit comes first applies.
Does it work offline and keep my plan?
Yes. It is one HTML file that saves on your device as you type. Use Export for a backup file and Import to move it to another device.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Each tool is a single file that opens in the browser on any iPhone, Android phone, tablet or computer. There's no app to install.
Where do my numbers go?
Nowhere. Everything you type stays on your own device. The tools work offline and never send your data anywhere.
Is there a subscription?
No. You pay once and keep the file. Fixes to the version you bought are free.
