What you get
- Unlimited people, with households and couples who never draw each other, plus extra can't-draw pairs one way or both ways
- Not the same as last year: type last year's pairs, use a saved draw, or load last year's Export file
- A Can this work? list shows how many people each person can draw, and an impossible set is explained in plain words (for example, who is stuck) instead of looping
- Pass the phone: each person taps their name, presses and holds to see who they're buying for and their wish list, and you only see who has looked
- Print folded slips (4 to a Letter page) or a sealed master list for an organiser who isn't taking part; optional one big circle
Who it's for
Whoever organises the family, friends' or office gift exchange. It opens in any browser on a phone or computer, there's no emailing or sign-up, and the names stay on your device.

Questions
Does it email everyone their match?
No, on purpose. There's no emailing and no accounts, so nobody's email address is collected. You pass one phone around so each person can look privately, or you print folded slips.
Will I see everyone's match as the organiser?
Only if you ask. The results screen stays hidden behind a confirm, and the pass-the-phone list only shows who has looked, never who they got. If you're not taking part, you can print a sealed master list.
How does it keep couples and last year's pairs apart?
Give people who live together the same household, and they never draw each other. Add last year's pairs by hand, from a saved draw or from last year's Export file, and nobody draws the same person again. If the rules leave no possible draw, it tells you who is stuck.
Is the draw fair?
The draw is random, using your browser's secure random numbers, and it always follows every rule you set. It first shuffles a full set of matches and keeps one that fits; when the rules are loose, that gives every valid set of matches about the same chance. When the rules are very tight, shuffling rarely fits, so the tool finds one valid set of matches by search and then mixes it with random swaps. That is still random, but it is not guaranteed to be perfectly even. For one big circle with very tight rules, the tool may stop after about two seconds and tell you it couldn't find a circle, rather than guess. It only says a draw is impossible when it has proved it.
Is my data saved, and who can see it?
It saves on your device automatically and nothing is sent anywhere. Use Export for a backup file. That file contains the matches, so keep it to yourself and don't send it to the people taking part.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Each tool is a single file that opens in the browser on any iPhone, Android phone, tablet or computer. There's no app to install.
Where do my numbers go?
Nowhere. Everything you type stays on your own device. The tools work offline and never send your data anywhere.
Is there a subscription?
No. You pay once and keep the file. Fixes to the version you bought are free.
