Does it tell me how to do the jobs?
No. Every task is a one-line reminder of what it is, never step-by-step instructions. Starter jobs involving electrical work, roofing, chimneys, heating or cooling, water heaters and septic are flagged "Use a qualified professional" by default, and you can flag any job you add. For gas, electrical, roofing, chimney, and heating or cooling work, use a qualified, licensed professional. Follow your manufacturers' manuals and local codes.
Are the default frequencies and costs right for my home?
They are a common starting point, not advice for your house. Check your manufacturer's guidance and edit any frequency, cost or area. You can also add your own tasks, with no limit.
How is the next date worked out?
Next due is the last done date plus the frequency. Adding months keeps the day and stops at month end, so Jan 31 plus one month is Feb 28. Seasonal jobs are due in the next spring or fall month, which you choose (April and October to start).
Will it send reminders?
No. It is one file with no account and no notifications. Open it to see what is due. It works on your phone or computer and saves on your device.
Can I back it up or move it to another device?
Yes. Export saves a backup file and Import loads it on another device. Everything stays on your device; nothing is sent anywhere.
